Healthy 5 minute chocolates!

All natural and organic, gluten free, paleo, vegan, keto-ish.

Contains collagen and relaxing magnesium.

This is my favourite healthy (and super quick) mini chocolates recipe. My 3 year old daughter and I love these any time of the day, but I find that the soothing magnesium vibes are especially nice at night, with a cup of tea.

 

Ingredients:

 

1 / 2 cup of raw organic cacao powder

1 / 4 cup organic carob powder

2 tbsp flavourless collagen powder

1 / 3 cup coconut oil (grassfed butter is a delicious alternative!)

1 / 3 cup raw honey

1 / 3 cup of mixed ‘texture bits’

… eg: grated coconut, nuts or seeds of choice, goji berries or other dried berries.

2 x silicone ice cube trays

 

Method:

 

Combine powders in a mixing bowl

Melt coconut oil or butter on low-med heat in saucepan

Add honey to coco oil and heat til smooth

Pour honey oil into powders and combine thoroughly

Crush and chop nuts (or seed/coconut mix), add to mixture

Spoon mixture into silicone trays

Refrigerate until hard, about an hour or so.

 

Side note:

 

Carob powder can be substituted by other powders – get creative. I have used acai powder, beetroot powder, ashwagandha, and more. Carob adds a nice smoothness to the cacao but playing around each time has definite merits!
